Quarantine is awful, but it has been delightful to share some precious moments with family. This image is from our family Communion on Maundy Thursday (2020). This day commemorates Christ's last meal before the Crucifixion. It was also the evening He washed the feet of the twelve knowing full well that Judas was a traitor. As we read the Scriptural account this evening, I became emotional. Christ was fully God, so He knew all the details of His own betrayal and suffering. He was also fully man, so He was filled with fear and dread. I cannot imagine sharing a meal with someone who had already sold me out for 30 pieces of silver. But Christ did it. For us. To give us the Hope of Heaven, Christ was determined to suffer and pay our debt. Grateful. That is what we are called to be. Repentant and grateful. May you and yours be blessed in this somber time. Let's all watch and pray with the Savior. God bless.
